How to get up – the normal route step by step

  1. Day 1: from Espigantosa up through the forest to Refugio Ángel Orús, 2–3 hours.
  2. Day 2: follow the path north-west up into the long Canal Fonda couloir, where snow lingers well into the summer.
  3. From the top of the couloir you pass beneath the Diente de Llardana tooth and climb the broad ridge to the summit.
  4. Descend the same way.
SafetyNo glacier on the normal route, but crampons and an ice axe are needed as long as there is snow in Canal Fonda (usually until mid-July).

Other routes up

From the north you start from Refugio de Viadós in the Gistaín valley.
