La Molina

Cerdanya (Alp), Girona, Catalonia

La Molina is regarded as Spain's oldest ski resort with a lift. The first commercial lift was built in 1943. The resort lies in the Cerdanya and is run by FGC. Via the gondola over Tosa d'Alp it is linked to Masella, and together they form the Alp 2500 ski area. La Molina has hosted the Alpine Ski World Cup (2008) and the Snowboard World Championships (2011). It is also one of the few resorts in the Pyrenees you can reach by train from Barcelona.
