Vall de Núria

Ripollès (Queralbs), Girona, Catalonia

Vall de Núria is a small resort in a high valley with no road access. You can only get there on the Cremallera de Núria rack railway from Ribes de Freser or Queralbs, which climbs about 1,000 vertical metres. The valley has a pilgrimage sanctuary, a hotel and a lake, surrounded by peaks of almost 3,000 m. The pistes are few and easy, and suit families with children and beginners. FGC has been granted a new concession running until 2055.
