Grandvalira

Encamp and Canillo, Andorra

Grandvalira is the largest ski area in the Pyrenees, with 215 km of pistes in seven sectors: Pas de la Casa, Grau Roig, El Peretol, Soldeu, El Tarter, Canillo and Encamp. You can start in any village and ski across the whole area on the same pass. Pas de la Casa on the French border is lively and has plenty of accommodation. Soldeu and El Tarter are more alpine, and Grau Roig sits beautifully in the forest below the Pessons peaks. The history goes back to 1956, when the first lift was built at Pas de la Casa. Today's area was formed in 2003 when Pas de la Casa–Grau Roig and Soldeu–El Tarter merged. Soldeu has hosted the Alpine Ski World Cup finals (2019 and 2023).
