Ordino Arcalís lies at the top of the Ordino valley in north-west Andorra. It is a quieter and wilder area than Grandvalira. The resort was founded in 1983 by the people of Ordino and has no village at the slopes, just lifts, restaurants and large car parks at El Hortell and La Coma. The snow often keeps well here thanks to the altitude. Ordino Arcalís is one of Europe's best-known freeride resorts and a stop on the Freeride World Tour. From the Tristaina gondola you reach the Mirador Solar de Tristaina viewpoint (2,701 m).

Highlights

  • Freeride World Tour and 21 freeride areas with 120 lines
  • The Mirador Solar de Tristaina viewing platform above the Tristaina lakes
  • The Megaverda Kids Forest trail for children (8.5 km)
  • Quieter slopes and short lift queues

TipsArrive early after a snowfall, as the freeride zones often open quickly. The Nord Pass and the Andorra Pass are valid both here and at Pal Arinsal. Bring a packed lunch or eat at La Coma, as there is less choice on the mountain than in Grandvalira.
