Capcir, Pyrénées-Orientales

Formiguères is a family resort in the Pyrénées Catalanes regional nature park, about 4 km above a pretty stone village with slate roofs. The pistes lie on an open, sunny slope with a 700 m vertical drop and views over the Capcir plateau and its lakes. The cross-country legend Martin Fourcade grew up in the area. The neighbouring resort of Puyvalador has been closed since the winter of 2022/23 and its lifts have been dismantled.
