The high route across the Pyrenees, keeping as close to the main ridge as possible and switching between France and Spain. It is not waymarked, crosses many passes above 2 500 metres and requires you to navigate with map and compass. For experienced mountain walkers it is the finest traverse in Europe.
TipsOnly for those with previous high-mountain experience. Bring GPS tracks, a map and an ice axe early in the season. Many nights in a tent or unstaffed huts.
