Astún

Valle del Aragón (Jaca), Huesca, Aragon

Astún opened in 1976 and lies in a high valley a few kilometres from Candanchú, near the French border. The resort is more modern and compact than its neighbour, with accommodation and lifts at the same base. The slopes reach up to La Raca and Truchas, and from the summits you can see Anayet and the Midi d'Ossau. There are unusually many red and black runs, and the wide valleys towards Canal Roya and Sarrios are good for carving. Astún is part of 100K together with Candanchú.
