Transpyr is the classic MTB crossing of the entire Pyrenees on the Spanish side, from the Mediterranean at Roses to the Atlantic at Irun. The route follows forest roads, gravel roads and trails over countless passes and through Catalonia, the Andorran borderlands, Aragon and Navarre. It is run as a stage race in early June with a maximum of 300 participants and separate tracks for MTB, e-MTB, road and gravel.
TipsRiding with the organiser gives you luggage transfers, food and mechanics. If you go it alone: book accommodation in advance and expect long days without support.
