- Distance
- approx. 750–780 km
- Days
- approx. 13–15 days
The Camino Francés pilgrim route starts in the Pyrenees and can be ridden on an MTB or trekking bike. The first stage over the pass to Roncesvalles and on to Pamplona is the most mountainous, and the original route is demanding and shared with many walkers. Those who cycle at least the last 200 km and get their pilgrim passport stamped twice a day receive the Compostela certificate.
TipsBe considerate of walkers and choose road alternatives (e.g. N-135 Roncesvalles–Pamplona) where the path is narrow. Carry extra water on the Meseta.
